The Turning Stone East Coast Poker Championship is considered by many players to be one of the best tournaments hosted by Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York. Attention Pre-Seniors! Legends Classic Series (LCS) is a unique poker tour for seniors with a twist, “45 is the New 50.” CEO, Tina Bergstrom fondly refers to the age range of 45-50 as the “senior in waiting” zone and after hours upon hours of research believes the added ages will increase the fields and create larger prize pools.
The LCS launch and poker tournament is scheduled to kick off their new tour and introduce the LCS pros at “the place where it all began” Binion’s on June 7-9. The event will consist of two $240 buy-in flights; 1A on Saturday, June 7 at 11am and 1B on June 8 at 11am. Reentries will be allowed on both flights. Players will start with 20,000 in tournament chips and 35-minute levels. Day 2 will start at 1 pm and the levels will be bummed up to 40 minutes with an increase to 50 minutes at the final table.
The LCS Legends pro team consists of the following; World Series Champion and WSOP Hall of Famer, Tom McEvoy, bracelet winners Kathy Liebert, Cyndy Violette, Hoyt Corkins, WPT ladies champion JJ Liu, and Kenna “Cowboy” James.
