Mohegan Sun announced Bruce Dixon as their new Director of Poker. Dixon, who brings more than a decade of experience in the Atlantic City gaming industry to his new position, will be responsible for supervising 300 poker personnel, table security, strategic planning, and implementing Mohegan Sun poker policies and procedures. Dixon holds an Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems from Atlantic Cape Community College of New Jersey.
"We are very excited to welcome Bruce Dixon to our team," said Rocco Santoro, Vice President of Table Games. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position and is sure to be a valuable asset to the Mohegan Sun team."
In late August, Mohegan Sun will introduce a state-of-the-art 42-table poker room within Casino of the Wind. The poker room will feature an array of games such as Omaha, Texas hold 'em, 7-card stud, and razz and pineapple, upon request.
Mohegan Sun is currently in the midst of Project Horizon-a multi-million dollar expansion featuring a 920-room hotel tower, 261 House of Blues-themed rooms, and an exclusive members-only House of Blues Foundation Room. The expansion also includes additional retail and restaurant space, and a new 64,000 square-foot Casino of the Wind. Upon full completion in 2010, Project Horizon will add 1.4 million square feet to Mohegan Sun's existing structure.
