Day 4 of the WPT Championship started with 204 players trying to survive the money bubble, as the top 100 players would win a piece of the record $14 million prize pool. Hordes of camera happy spectators and autograph seeking railbirds flocked to the outskirts of the majestic Fontana Room at the Bellagio on a lazy Friday in Las Vegas to watch some of the best poker players in the world battle it out for a $3.7 million first place prize.
Patrik Antonius from Finland started the day as the chipleader and had everyone in the room trying to take him down. Antonius added to his massive stack early on when he busted Dan Harrington's KQs when he flopped an ace with A-9. Antonius maintained most of his stack as the day progressed and ended 7th overall in chips.
When play concluded for the day, 71 players remained. Actor James Woods busted out of the money when he moved all in with 6-6 on a board with an ace and against Doyle Brunson's two pair. At one point Freddy Deeb was one of the first players to reach $1 million in chips but gave up to lead to Victor Ramdin who ended Day 4 as the chipleader. Ramdin eaarned $1.3 million after his first place victory at the WPT Foxwoods event a few weeks ago. He's still running hot and is one of three players with at least one million in chips, ialong with Freddy Deeb and Gay Maresh.

Several pros went home early and were eliminated on Day 4 including TJ Cloutier, Barry Greenstein, Jan Sorensen, Dewey Tomko, Dan Harrington, Tony G, Brad Berman, Paul Darden, Steve Dannenmann, Tony Ma, Humberto Brenes, Mimi Tran, Tony Bloom, Farzad Bonyadi, Tony Cousineau, Don Mullis, Ted Lawson, Arnold Spee, Alan Cunningham, Doug Lee, Tim Phan, Todd Brunson, Fabrice Soulier, and David Levi.
Pros that were knocked out but made the money included Erick Lindgren, David Kim, Dustin Wolf, John D'Agostino, Juha Helpi, Jen Harman, Casey Kastle, and Kirill Gerasimov.
Some of your favorite poker players are still left including both 10-time WSOP bracelet winners Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan. 9-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth who sits 14th in chips with a little over $600K.
