Come Tour Oklahoma Poker

Greetings poker players from the new voice of Oklahoma Poker! There are more than 110 gaming facilities in the state and nearly 11 major casino destination resorts. More than 30 of those casinos offer poker and provide players with affordable cash games and tournaments. Let's take a tour of a few of these rooms so you can plan your trip and book your next game!

Downstream Casino in Quapaw has a beautiful state-of-the-art poker room with 14 tables. It is extremely player friendly, giving poker players a reason to stay and play. $1-$2 no-limit hold 'em is the main game and daily low buy-in tournaments offer practical ways to get in the game. If you end up on the wait list, don't worry. You can sign up for text messaging seating. The Heartland Poker Tour will be here October 9-18 for a series of events that includes a Vegas vacation private jet away package. Poker Room Manager Elliott Schechter means it when he says that Downstream is the "jewel of the region." Call 918.919.6209 today and get registered!

Cherokee Casino in West Siloam Springs provides an enclosed, 12-table room and a $10-$20 Omaha/8 game with a full kill that is one of the best in the state. Also spread are the ever popular $1-$2 no-limit hold 'em and $1-$2 pot-limit Omaha games. There are several tournaments and at least three tournament series throughout the year. "Reindeer Games" is the December series and Poker Room Manager, Chad McReynolds says "The lower buy-in events in this series are great for our regulars and average poker players that don't have a large bankroll." Call 1.800.754.4111 to get in the game!

River Spirit Casino in Tulsa has a beautiful 15-table room and offers a variety of daily tournaments. They will spread about any cash game, and the main games include $1-$2 no-limit hold 'em, $3-$6, $4-$8 and $6-$12 limit hold 'em. They also have a weekly $2-$5-$10 Omaha game that is considered to be "extremely juicy" according to regulars. Recently remodeled and renamed, this casino loves its poker players. The chairs are fantastic, the player's comps are rewarding, and the staff is exceptional at making you feel welcome and relaxed. "With all levels of play, it's easy to get in the game!" says Glen, the poker room manager. Call 1.800.299.2738 and ask for the poker room for more details.

Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa, formerly known as Cherokee Casino Resort, provides 18 tables for poker and a new series running October 29-November 15 called the Hard Rock Poker Open. $1-$2 and $2-$5 no-limit Hold 'em are the main cash games but they also spread a very active $3-$6 and $4-$8 limit hold 'em game. Plans are in the works to relocate and enclose this poker room, but for now it will remain on the main floor while the tournament series will be held in the banquet room upstairs. Lana Salazar is the new poker room manager and she can be reached by calling 1.800.760.6700 and asking for the poker room. Call today and get signed up for a Hard Rock Poker Open event!
