Meet me at the Peppermill in Reno. The Nevada State Poker Championship is scheduled for May 5-9. On Wednesday, May 5 two events are scheduled, a $225 buy-in at noon and a $120 buy-in at 6 p.m. Three events are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, a $225 buy-in at noon, and $120 buy-in events at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

On Saturday at noon join two-time WSOP bracelet winner, Jennifer Harmon and her celebrity guests for the Jennifer Harman Celebrity Poker Tournament benefiting the National Kidney Foundation. Teams of 10 players each will receive commemorative team jackets, a complimentary VIP cocktail party, a walk on the red carpet, a team photo, gift bag, and a card marker. If you haven't formed a team, there's still time and individuals are welcome to play. The buy-in for this event is $250 with unlimited $50 re-buys during the first three levels and a one-time $50 add-on. Players will start with 2,000 in chips and receive 1,000 for re-buys and the add-on.

There will be more than $40,000 in individual prizes awarded during this event. The individual winner receives a $10,000 seat in the main event at the WSOP, a $500 Nevada State Poker Championship Main Event Seat, a Curtis & Co. sports watch, a Legacy Alliance custom designed crystal trophy, a Life's a Bluff autographed limited edition lithograph, and a Quad Queens all-in-one cushion backpack.

The team lasting longest will receive a team award and individual prizes will also be awarded to top 22 finishers. Some of the celebrity guests include: Howard Lederer, Marco Traniello, Andy Block, Jeff Madsen, Antonio Esfandiari, David "The Mavin" Chicotsky, Gavin Smith, Cindy Violette, Kristy Gazes, Paul Wasicka, Hoyt Corkins, Lacey Jones, Mario, Pam Brunson, and Todd Brunson. A silent auction and vendor fair
will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Naples Ballroom followed by the awards presentation at 8 p.m.

After the Jennifer Harman event a $170 buy-in event is scheduled for 7 p.m. The Nevada State Championship event will begin at noon on Sunday, May 9 with a buy-in of $540 followed by a $120 buy-in event at 7 p.m.

All events are no-limit with players receiving 8,000 starting chips in the $120 and $170 events, 10,000 in the $225 events, and 12,000 in the championship event. An additional 2,000 chips are given for an optional $10 dealer bonus buy.

Easy Freeroll at the Palms. Players need play only 10 hours of live poker to qualify for a $10,000 freeroll. The qualifying period runs through May 30 with the final event scheduled for the first week in June.
