There’s a New Poker Room in Las Vegas. Well it’s not actually new, but it’s bigger and better and it’s at South Point. The poker room has doubled in size to 22 poker tables with brand new tables and chairs. Qualifying period for the $100,000 freeroll starts on August 1 and runs through October 31. They are paying 40 places and guaranteeing $30,000 for first place. Check out the three daily no-limit bounty tournaments: Monday-Sunday at 10 a.m., $50 buy-in, $10 optional add-on and $5 bounties; Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday at 2 p.m., $100 buy-in, $10 add-on and 30 minute levels. Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge XVII Kicks Off on August 17. This tournament series runs through August 23 with a guaranteed $500,000 prize pool. Test your poker skills against two final table finishers, 2003 WSOP champion Chris Moneymaker and 2009 WSOP second place finisher Darvin Moon. Two $125,000 guaranteed no-limit hold’em events are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. August 17, with a $340 buy-in and August 19 with a $560 buy-in. The main event is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. August 21, with a $1,650 buy-in and a $250,000 guarantee.
