Just when you thought all of the presents were unwrapped and it was time to take down the tree, Delaware Park delivers a few more gifts: 18 gifts to be exact. 18 Championship events will take place during Delaware Parks 2013 Winter Poker Classic, starting January 2nd and continuing through January 15th. The tournament series will kick off with a $400 No Limit Hold’em event at 12 PM on January 2nd and feature a $100,000 guarantee.
Due to the expected large turnout, Poker Room Manager Kevin Castora suggests early registration through pokertickets.com to guarantee a seat.
New for this tournament series is the addition of a tournament leader board. Players will earn points based on prize money received, with the top earner being awarded $5,000, including a $2,500 seat into the big Poker Classic Championship event to be held later in the spring. The Winter Classic Main Event will begin on Saturday, January 12th. The $1,090 Buy in, $150,000 Guarantee event will be played with a 40,000 chip starting stack and 1 hour levels.
Poker room manager Kevin Castora, wanting to show his appreciation to the players, put a big exclamation point on the end of the series by adding an extra $5,000 in prize money to the Winter Classic Finale. Delaware Park has always come through with ambitious and exciting tournament series, and this one definitely does not disappoint. Kevin Castora says, “We wouldn’t be able to produce events like this if it wasn’t for the faith that the key management personnel at Delaware Park has in the poker room’s staff… The best is yet to come! We are looking foreword to offering even more events throughout the year. Providing everyone with the opportunity to play within their comfortable buy-in range and varying game types.” Based on my relationship with Delaware Park and what I have seen their key management group support, you can make book on this.
