Magnificent Maiden Voyage!

Poker Player’s maiden cruise to the Mexican Riviera was a huge success due to a wonderful group of poker players, an amazing group of speakers, and a terrific staff. Mike Caro not only provided an incredible amount of poker wisdom during his seminars but offered to play anyone heads-up from $200-$2,000, which was a big hit.

Paul Wasicka followed suit and was challenged by Larry Stockton from Roseburg, Oregon. Stockton earned major bragging rights by not only defeating Wasicka but knocking Caro out of a tournament.

David “The Maven” Chicotsky delivered an abundance of tips on playing online poker while Sam “The Mindset Guru” Chauhan left the audience focusing on how negativity can influence not only your personal life but your poker play. Paul Wasicka gave the group an enormous amount of invaluable poker tips to improve their tournament play. These four guys were a pleasure to have onboard and always left the audience wanting more.

Chicotsky said, “Well, I have to say that after five cruises, this one was my favorite by far. Much of what made this past week so great was meeting and spending time with other poker players on the cruise. It felt as though, while walking around the cruise and seeing other poker players, we were members of the same team. Thanks for making the past week such a great one. I’m pretty sure the poker player cruise group is putting one together for next August to Alaska; I hope they invite me back.”

Stan Sludikoff and I would like to send special thanks to tournament director Janis Sexton, cashiers Barbara Wright and Louise Lea, photographers Jaime and Steve Geffner, and the dealers for a job well done. Most of all, I’d like to thank Ann Sludikoff and our consultants June and Phil Field.
