The High Heels Poker Tour Academy (HHPTA), the first all women's poker teaching academy, is scheduled for February 6-8 at Connecticut's Mohegan Sun, with Susie Isaacs. This is the first all women's poker academy and tournament held at Mohegan Sun, and is part of their Winter Chill Tournament Series.
Susie Isaacs is the first woman to win the World Series of Poker ladies championship back-to-back in 1996 and 1997, and in 1998, she placed 10th in the World Series of Poker $10,000 buy-in main event.
In addition to Ms. Isaacs, the HHPTA two-day event has a number of other professional female poker players on their teaching staff, including Barbara Enright, JJ Liu and Karina Jett, just to name a few.
Tuition is $1,295 and includes a free-roll into Sunday's High Heels Poker Tour Ladies Event. Women who participate in upcoming academies will benefit from hand-by-hand instruction, individual attention from the top female pros, and leave with personal feedback from their instructor.
Another HHPTA academy will be held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, March 6 - 7, 2009. Upcoming High Heels Poker Tour events are scheduled for January 17 at Dania Jai-Alai in Dania FL, February 8 at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville CT, February 13 at Mardi Gras Gamming in Hollywood FL, and March 8 at Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Resort in Hollywood FL.
