WSOP Satellites. Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, CA will give away three more seats to the WSOP main event along with airfare and accommodations at the Rio. Silverado Franklin in Deadwood, SD is holding the first ever South Dakota State Poker Championship May 13-15 in the town where the poker and gun fighting legend Wild Bill Hickok was killed while playing poker. Hickok was holding what is now known throughout the poker world as the “Dead Man’s Hand,” aces and eights. Seating at the $1,100 buy-in SDSPC is limited to 320 and satellites are being held around the state. Heartland Poker Tour at Golden Gates. Golden Gates in Black Hawk, CO hosts the Heartland Poker Tour from April 1-10. Golden Gates is always a fun stop for this tournament. HPT is an exciting tournament that gives “regular” poker players a shot at a large pay-off and a chance to play on TV. Players can either enter a moderate buy-in satellite where twenty percent of the field will win a seat to the main event, or buy-in directly for $1,650.
