We’re pleased to announce that Tom McEvoy, former World Champion and author of some of poker’s most highly regarded tournament play books, and David “the Maven” Chickotsky, whose individual seminars normally range in the thousands, will be presenting seminars as part of the satellite program for the Poker Player of the Year tournament. The seminars will be held in the Golden Nugget on July 2 and 3, prior to the Poker Player of the Year tournament on July 4. Each day features a separate and different seminar program. Attendees may sign up prior to the event by contacting Stan Sludikoff at sludikoff@yahoo.com or John Colville at poker@goldennugget.com. Program registration begins at 8 a.m. July 2, with the first seminar starting at 9 a.m. and running until noon. Lunch will be served from noon until 1 p.m., when the second seminar begins, and runs until 4 p.m. At 5 p.m. the satellite for the Poker Player of the Year will start. Snacks and beverages will be served throughout the seminars. All this, including entry into the satellite, will cost $390.
Players who do not win a seat into the main event may sign up for another set of seminars and satellite on July 3. The material presented by the speakers will be different on the second day. Seminars will be held in the Golden Nugget conference center and speakers have coordinated their materials to be supportive of each presentation. These seminars will focus on how to win at tournament play. Time will be allocated near the end of each presentation for questions and answers.
