While the World Series of Poker's main event moves concludes at the Rio in Las Vegas-and it's certainly the biggest and most significant single poker event of the year-it's not the only poker tournament we're covering this issue.
The poker tournament trail ebbs and flows like a tide. Some weeks there are almost too many tournaments to report on, while other weeks are marked by a scarcity of events. In the run-up to the holiday season, tournaments are seemingly everywhere, from the Big Kahuna in Las Vegas to events in Atlantic City, Foxwoods, and other stops along the way. It's a cornucopia of poker tournaments-an overflowing horn of plenty-and we have as much coverage as we can squeeze into our pages.
While tournament action will die down over the impending Thanksgiving weekend, pick up a bit in early December before grinding to a halt over the Christmas and New Years weekends, this is as busy as it will be for the next month or so.
