Who Will Rule The Roost At The Wildhorse?

Wildhorse Casino, Pendleton, OR- Spring's arrival at The Wildhorse Casino is loudly heralded every April as the air is filled with the unmistakable rusty racket of the gregarious yellowheaded blackbird. Not a native to the area, this gregarious bird began showing up in the marshes and reeds of the property's golf course in 1998, and they have flourished in the past ten years. One of the primary reasons for this is that due to its aggressive nature, this bird has successfully scared off much larger predatory avian species, including bald eagles and hawks, making it the undisputed ruler of the roost in this area.

Coincidentally, like our fine-feathered friends, another equally tenacious member of the animal kingdom-commonly known as poker players- flock to the Wildhorse Casino in April as well. This fearless breed of predators migrates from all over the country, drawn to the annual Spring Poker Round-Up. This formidable group of foes encompasses a star-studded line-up of pros and local Pacific Northwest players alike, competing to become the rulers of the roost on the green felt.

If you've got what it takes to keep the eagles and hawks at bay, then this is the place to be. Events begin on April 16 and conclude with a $1,000 Buy-In Main Event on April 26. The Wildhorse Spring Round-Up features a fun and action packed tournament schedule including, Omaha, HORSE, seniors only, ladies only, golf, and of course plenty of no-limit hold'em.

Jan Fisher, Poker Player Newspaper columnist and professional player, will be making a personal appearance and conducting a Ladies Only, free poker seminar on Tuesday, April 22. You will no doubt spot Jan at the tables competing in these events as well.

Players enjoy plenty of perks at the Wildhorse the poker room including the following; $75,000 in property added tournament money, low buy-ins and big money, no rebuys, purist tournament structures, all entry fees limited to $15, no house-fee satellites, live game rakes $3 maximum, more live games added, free gourmet buffet for all players, free tours of historical Pendleton, $1,000 added players-only golf tourney, all-around championship prizes, affordable room rates, steep discounts at nearby hotels, and plenty of yellowheaded blackbirds.

To make your hotel and tournament arrangements please contact their knowledgeable, dedicated poker staff. More tournament great action scheduled for 2008 at The Wildhorse includes the Summer Poker Rodeo in July, and the Fall Poker Round-Up in November. Should your plans include a migration to The Wildhorse this April, have fun, good luck, and watch out for the yellowheaded blackbird.
