Oregon’s #1 gaming destination, proud to present the most diverse selection of gaming options in the Northwest, Spirit Mountain Casino has it all—hot and scintillating slots and tempting tables. From beginners to veterans, everyone can get lucky in Grand Ronde. Spirit Mountain’s Poker Room, with 15 tables open 24 hours a day, offers the best gaming experience in all the state. The action is hot and cards move fast in this laid-out Vegas-style poker room. They run Deep Stack tournaments and numerous No Limit Hold’em games. New daytime tournaments begin at 10:30 am with $100 added. Saturdays are your best bet with $500 added for a $40 buy-in with $20 re-buys and add-ons... might go late. Action starts at noon. Live it up and test your luck at the Northwest’s Premier Entertainment Destination during their Anniversary Series, which runs from October 24th to October 27th. It should be another great series of events.
Majestically overlooking the Pacific Ocean from the Lincoln City shore, the 157,000 square foot Chinook Winds Casino Resort is Oregon’s premier casino. With over 1200 slot machines, gaming is open 24 hours a day, including live poker in the newly expanded poker room, table games, keno, and bingo. The poker room opens at 10 am, Saturday through Thursday, and 9 am on Friday. A new tournament schedule started in August with tournaments Monday through Friday at 12:30 pm. Check for details by calling the poker room directly. Mark your calendars for Chinook Winds Fall Classic, September 27th-29th and on the 30th their Sunday tournament will have $500 added.

All-in Tip: visit the Tulalip Resort Casino’s website (www.tulalipcasino.com) and be sure to keep an eye on what they have to offer. I played in their Last Sunday of the Month (LSOM) in August and could not believe the sick action. All twenty tables in their spacious non-smoking poker room were completely full, along with another three tables they quickly set up… all in Marysville, Washington. The tournament featured two local pros (Matt Affleck, Seattle, and Tyler Patterson, Everett) and live action offered the best competition with the biggest pots…some serious loose calls with money to be made or, yikes, lost. I witnessed some awful bad beats and could not believe the money guys were throwing around and calls they were making. I will be writing more about Tulalip and the tournament in an upcoming article. The hotel has beautiful rooms, and just wait until you hear about the Players’ Suite… absolutely ridiculous!
