A new poker room opened in Pahrump, Nevada. Suncoast Hotel & Casino "Just over the hump to Pahrump," as Las Vegans like to say. Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino opened the doors to its new poker room featuring first-class amenities and gaming options. Plasma TV screens are displayed throughout the room, showcasing current entertainment, sports, local and national news. While a new room opens, we have a rare closing of a poker room in Las Vegas. Almost unheard of in recent years, but Fiesta Rancho in Las Vegas closed its five-table room last month. In fairness, they were competing with themselves with the larger, nicer poker room next door at Texas Station. The noon tournament that Fiesta Rancho was running has been taken over by Texas Station, but they have no plans to run Fiesta's former midnight session.
