Trump Plaza, which towers 39 floors above Atlantic City's Boardwalk, opened its East Tower Poker Room, featuring twelve, automated PokerPro® tables where hands are dealt electronically to players seated at a traditional-style poker table. There is a clear view of the pot size and chip count during this interactive game.
PokerPro® is expected to attract traditional poker players as well as those who have been curious about the game, but didn't have an opportunity to get into some of the city's bustling poker rooms-until now.
The Poker Room at Trump Plaza will be the latest location for poker buffs to play in Atlantic City, just steps off the Boardwalk," commented Trump General Manager Jim Rigot. "When you consider the increased number of poker hands per hour and a $3.00 rake, it becomes an obvious choice for even the most seasoned players," Rigot added.
PokerTek, Inc announced that they contracted with Trump Plaza to offer PokerPro® for a field trial.
"We are proud to enter our New Jersey field trial with Trump Plaza," said Chris Halligan, PokerTek CEO, "and look forward to introducing the speed, accuracy and cool new features of automated poker to the poker players of Atlantic City.
